As long as the leak noise can be “heard” by both microphones the SeCorrPhon AC 06 can process and analyse the resulting information.
The sounds picked up by the microphones are transmitted via two powerful 500 mW radio transmitters to the lightweight central processing unit  Digital Signal Processor where the information is quickly analysed & the resulting leak position is displayed both graphically and numerically, in metres to the leak from each sensor.

When the leak is found, the technician, where possible, will be able to fully repair the leak; liners can be easily mended with an underwater vinyl patch, and plaster pools can be repaired with underwater epoxy. Even in the coldest water the technician is able to enter the pool wearing his dry suit to repair the leak.

Underground plumbing leaks can be more difficult to locate, even after the pressure test reveals a break in one or more of the pipes. In this case our technicians will be able to locate the area of the leak via electronic sonar.

We use a three stage system to check for leaks

• First, we inspect for visible leaks around the equipment and above ground plumbing

• Next, we perform a dye test of all the typical areas where a leak can occur, such as in the skimmer, the returns, or the steps.

• Finally, we conduct a pressure test of the entire system to determine the integrity of the underground plumbing.

How does it work?

The Leak 247  eliminates the frustrating, expensive and time consuming task of visually inspecting every inch of a liner. While standing on the deck the operator is able to first establish a leaks general area, then pinpoint even the smallest leaks in minutes. This technology is effective in any water containing vessel with an electrically insulating shell, (vinyl, fibreglass, acrylic, etc.)

The sophisticated, but simple to use device puts a small electrical charge into the pool water. This charge seeks to make a connection to the ground. Since the pool liner is a good electrical insulator, the only ground connections are through conductive penetrations in the liner.

The Leak 247 equipment detects electrical current flow in the water as it seeks these ground connections, and produces audible signals that lead the operator to the exact location of the leak.
